I don't really think that is the point at all.

It seems to be mocking the motives of a girlfriend or female who was/is covetted.

It shows through with:

And then the whole:

I said that I love you, and I'm sorry I lied to you

Seems to be a hook-up thing, maybe being used for the physical without regard for the emotional.
