I beleive its more like unto an inner battle to let loose all of the negative emotion that he would build up through one massively moving experiance. Like Prayer is about how his grandfather (or was it father) died, this is seems more like how someone has hurt him in a time of need, not a relationship. Something happened and when he turned for help it was thrown in his face.
Burning now I bring you hell - burning with so much pain, anger, vengeance he will destroy what he can, but let you suffer through it.
