I think this song is obviously about a guy trying to get over a girl. But even after she's evidently moved on, he still hasn't. He really wants to move on with the rest of his life, but he can't yet. "And I will consider you gone" seems like he's in denial. He thinks that he's able to let go of her, when he hasn't yet. But he's definately trying to move on without her...
