i think little black ache is that consistent, aching feeling you feel inside of you (something like depression) that you can just wallow in. it's not a sharp pain, its just an ache, but you feel comfortable with it. i definitely think alienation and loneliness figure into it. but when all else fails, he has his little black ache.
