i think it mean being in relation with anyone (father mother boy/girlfriend friends etc.) and feeling really insecure about the relation with that person, cause you feel like you don't really matter...
or it could be addiction in any form...i would think personally of an ED of SI...and people around you don't really seem to care...

to the person who sees you being depressed: i just want you to hold me to heal me.
''And how come it is so hard''
life is hard, why is it so hard to not give in for once...the person with the addiction always gives in to starve or binge/purge or cut...
''And do you like to see me broken''
talking to the disorder: to you really want to ruin me?
''And why do I still care''
talking to herself asking herself why she still cares so much for her disorder...
