Is this song about Bela Lugosi, or about Dracula? Since the former is part of the song title, I have to say the song is, indeed, about Lugosi.
I think the entire song paints a picture of Lugosi's later years, in which he was living near-poverty, addicted to pain killers and not really living much of a life (hence, undead).
Also, when he did die, he didn't really die - in the sense that his movie persona will live forever.
Musically, this song is catchy (in a good way) and easily appeals to non-goth fans as well as goth fans.
