To me this song is a very macabre, delicious and witty look at ignorance. It does use imagery of cannibalism and does allude to it on many occasions but it's more of a figurative way of implying that society has become little more than food. That our brains are fried by so many outside influences, [Vatican, entertainment, politics..] that we cease to become any more substantial than walking meat.
[All in all an awesome song though. My favorite lyrics: "Bathing in your arrogance, dining will ensue, God made me a cannibal to fix problems like you." Just genius.]
