It's beautiful when the music sounds like the idea portrayed in the lyrics. Scene: A mother and a daugher are sitting across a table from each other, probably early summer, and there's an issue like "the elephant in the middle of the room". It can't be ignored. However, the mother doesn't feel like she can confront her daughter about her problems, which sound like self-image problems because the mother comes on to say something about how her daughter is as beautiful as summer. She's saying to her daughter how they'll look back on their hardships and cry but also love because it brought them closer together, and it won't change their love it'll only bring them stronger.

The second verse goes on probably five or ten years down the road, and she's talking about her love life problems with her mother and comparing them to her own, and they're seeing similarities in themselves more than they thought they had.
