This song touches on a lot of different subjects. Initially john is talking about being in a low point in his life. In the "In the valleys noon /The things that I can find" line the "valleys noon" is refering to the highpoint of johns low drug addiction period, and the "things" he found were probably things about his existance (spirits ect.). "Nothing's simple soon / The stitches I can time" John is realizing life isnt easy no matter what at this low point, and the "stitches he can time" refer to the damage he still chooses to do to him himself at this point. The "I was so bad" is pretty obvious, during this low he was a bad person to himself. He continues making revelations about life in "Endless the weeds you blink / Nothing's for sure to sink" He is saying that everything is only as bad as you see it in life, and no one is doomed to failure, no matter how low they get.

Another subject is questioning the free will of man, or ever himself. This can be seen in the "The beloved cars that went to where they went /Did they actually go were they really sent" line. John is asking sort of saying "the decions people make / Did they do so by free will or was it destiny"

Also in, "When does the whole of to be become infinity / Headed for the moon /The mission I can buy" In these three lines he is saying "When will all of things we want or think will happen become endless" It almost a message telling you to let go of those things. The "headed for ../mission i..." line refers to john saying he is "Going toward the unknown in life / And he is doing it by choice [ie: buying the mission]"

Long analysis i know, but i like this song a lot. I'm still not sure about a lot of it. But thats my best guess. This song is about John's beliefs about life.
