to me this song is like my home town, i think you all have hit a major idea with this song, but combining them together is exactly what its about, except to me it means he is totally compfortable in his town with the people he used to know, and the people that knew of him for one reason or another, but by "And step out into the freezing morning air" then changing it to the "scorching daylight there" means in the freezing air is where he grew up, but moved on, and by scorching daylight there, means hes in a new town, nowbody knows his name,hes the new guy, loved or hated, thats the 2 options people have to have about you, so its a new beginning, thus making my point about him being compfortable in his town, but now hes got a new town, and hes getting compfortable, i feel that way about this song because i feel this way in real life, let me know what you think!
