this song, like the whole Shine on Brightly album, contains some of the most existential lyrics ever put on disc. it reminds me a lot of RD Laing who was big in those days. the lyric--tho nothing shows, someone knows--reminds me of Laings comment that experience never shows, that we are "invisible men" and i think that Keith Reid "knew" at one time or another. the problem with "knowing" is that a lot of the time it doesnt last--and you are left where you started
