Well. Nobody has really commented on the meaning of this song. To me, it reminds me of Vietnam. When we went to Vietnam, nobody wanted us to go there. People protested like mad, but there was a draft. People who went and served mostly hated it and wanted to go home. once they got home they had mixed reactions people welcoming them and people being mad they went (stabbing them in the back).
