i think Matts talking about someone that he loves, but hes questioning her because he thinks that even though they tell eachother everything, that she is hiding something from him, something that is really troubling her, and he wants to see what her feelings really are.

i also think that the relationship that Matt is having with this girl is uneven. What i mean by that is that she always seems to have some sort of problem which she off loads to him and to no one else. As a result he feels burdened and it drives him to questioning,
