Am I the only one who doesn't find the song THAT ambiguous?
1 - monotone; trying to distract herself, calm down, stop thinking about it, but even listening to something as simple as crickets isn't soothing her.
2 - she's sleeping alone, missing someone--most likely a romantic partner or something--and at night, with nothing else to distract her, it's like infinite time to miss him.
3 - did God send this as some kind of test, to see if she has what it takes to get back up and keep going?
4 - still lying in bed, now observing the moonlight, thoughts idling around and feeling her spirit lilt--not happiness exactly, but acceptance, maybe.
5 - she's not afraid of being alone anymore, but she still doesn't know how to cope, so she prays for God to help her deal with the loneliness.
6 - now she's healed to the point where she can even think about others and hope that THEY have lost their fear as well.
