I'm not entirely sure what the song's about...but I have two different thoughts on it.
One being that there's a guy lusting and craving for a girl or even another guy and he just can't get enough of them. He asking them not to "leave him stranded in his obsession", kinda like asking them to feel the same way, maybe?
Then my other thought is..
Maybe he's a in a relationship with someone and he's so madly in love but the other person in the relationship is saying "No, its over."

Those lines are my main basis for thinking that...but either way,there's my opinion.

Skillet, being a Christian rock band, sang this song for God. The lines 'I thirst.... pour out like water', are proof to the fact. Towards the end he also says, live and die in my obsession which means he wants to live and die for Christ, who is his obsession. Even the line 'I kiss your feet, worship the air you breathe', testify to the fact! I love Skillet!!! :)
