I was just listening to this song, and somehow an idea got into my head. Maybe the song is about having an affair or two different relationships with someone else. The idea of being found out is worrying him ("trying not to breathe 'cause I know I'll be found"/"It's pounding me until I'm driven in") and he is deciding what to do. I think that part is explained by the chorus ("monster, monster - gonna throw you out the door, one will die and the other shall live") which suggests he is deciding which one he is going to stay with. I'm most likely completely wrong but that's just what I think =\ shrugs
