About how people follow trends in a certain respect and claim its because its "who they are" when really they're just doing it to fit in.

This is Mikes sarcastic comment, he's saying yeah follow the trends, and pretend that the trends of tomorrow will never come. Cus when they do, and you spend your life trying to fit in all the time, the lights that guide you will burn and blind you.
