I love this song. I think its pretty self explanitory? Pretty much all about forgetting about bad things in the past, & moving on from those things.
The man/boy has met a girl. He loves her, or at least thinks he does. She's quite messed up, & tries to forget about her past through her drinking. However, all he does is remind her of someone from her past, bringing things back to her, & making her... well, cry her eyes out.
& he's basically telling her really... to get over it. To move on... I think.
