Must say, I miss the old times. Alot. Like way back to "Good Charlotte". Cant bring it back, but even though they've disappointed me in many ways the last year or so, I still love 'em. This isn't bad - I feared it - but it came out pretty awesome :)
To me this song is about living with your misery, and learning how to deal with it the right way. It's telling us, that it isn't the good times, that gives us our personality, but the times when you have to struggle to make it trough. It makes us real. And deep.And if you're going trough hard times, don't drown yourself - The tears make you, you.
I dunno .. To me it's just a song about being "happy" about being miserable. Smile at it.
