To me, it's referring to Kim Deal, the bassist from the Pixies... I've heard that many Pixies fans thought she was the one who killed the band, to go on and form the Breeders. So, as Jason Lytle IS a Pixies fan, he says : "I swear I'd never name my kid Kim"...
@The Dog That Ate... yeah, you left this comment 11 years ago, but you've gotta be right about the Pixies connection. The instrumentation is 100% a Pixies homage. Heavy, bass-forward verses, low-fi fuzzed out electric solos, and Jason's definitely channeling Frank Black in the screaming sections.
