Great song indeed! I love Skye!!! I think its lyrics owns such an original approach about a fundamental urban question nowadays: the fact that many of us who live in the big cities are so prepared to get success on our personal lives that we're losing that human touch on becoming more anxious and needlessly tense because of that 'obsession'. And this has also make this usual kind of urban people careless about the bad things that have happened around them ("Behind the bomb, no one cares") while they haven't even enjoyed what they have got with their efforts ("You smash they grab 'til it's gone").

Regarding the line "We all love looking down", she's obviously talking that those people love to feel themselves more important than they really are while they are desperately fighting for being successful.

"How can we show, how to feel / Situation ain't so real" and "We're taught to tear"

I think those lines serve to express how hard it has been to those urban people for being in contact with their own emotions. They don't know anymore when they should cry (their tears seem to be programmed by themselves or possibly by TV) or the size of their own problems, since they simply overrate these ones because of their (big) fear of being flopped on this search for reaching 'the top of the world'.
