I think this song is about bringing religion back to a personal level. Religions like Christianity and Islam cause a breakup in the human race. They teach people to judge and there is only on right way to live, which is completely wrong. You can clearly see that this song is talking about making sure religion and politics aren't mixed. Things like same sex marriage come to mind. We has people have to be less judgmental and learn to accept and respect people for who they are. We shouldn't let a book that’s hundreds of years old tell us how to live our lives. The belief in a God is a personal choice and we shouldn't be shoving it down people’s throats. Organized religion is what’s destroying the world and I think its time people did something about it. We can't be this foolish, the world is in trouble and us as humans are doing nothing but aiding in its destruction.
Also I am very impressed with the improvement Alexis made lyrically with Crisis, there song has a lot more meaning and the sound is still fucking amazing. This has to be one of the most passionate bands out there, they love doing what they do and I think they've realized how many people they can actually reach with their music.
