Well, Kyo indeed LIKES Gion. As most of us know his real name is Tooru, but he changed it in his youth I think.
And "kyo" writes himself with the first sign of Kyoto, his hometown, which nameable part is gion with its geisha.
I find this one also hard to understand... He kills the woman that he loves and the mother of his child, while hes remembairing how it was when his mother died an thinking about what he does to his own child(?)
