this seems to be about how a relationship can potentionally become a concrete aspect of one's life. love results in a committal relationship which may lead to the inescapable roads of marriage & family. i am reminded of the traditional suburban lifestyle with the phrase, "People like to put things in the ground", as the construction of a suburban home initiates a life within the norm. A disinterest in conventional relationships is illustrated with, "So you think this is love? Yes, I guess so, or at least something to make it from", as love is identified as a feeling to be avoided and left behind. As Mr. Pharmacist suggested, solitude is offered as the escape to the entrapment of love.
