It's weird because usually I don't like Blake's voice. In fact, sometimes I make snarky comments to my CD player when one of his songs comes on. But on this song he sounds good.
So, I guess it's about two teenagers who were driving around in the girl's car, and they got stuck somewhere and stayed for a few days and had a really idyllic time.
But they had to leave, and this happened a long time ago. Since then something bad has happened to the girl, and the guy is losing his feelings of connection to her. He doesn't even feel sad anymore about whatever happened to her.
It's awfully depressing, I have to say.
