Awesome song! To me, it's about a guy who is in a relationship and he has known that it's been going a bit stale for a while:

When it's clear that my love has been fading". Anyway, he is attracted to someone else (a new "thrill") which just cements the fact that it's time to walk away from the stale relationship. He's not proud of the fact that his eye's wandered, but realises it's just further confirmation that he has to end it.
