I could be wrong on those two, but Im pretty sure those are the right lines.
This is such a great song....thanks for posting it!
To me, this song is about a guy in love with both nature, and a woman.
Not only does he pay tribute to the wonder of the natural world (a world that he is knowingly an intimate part of), but he has the perspective to see through the "crappier" aspects of life and to see the beauty of the love he shares with his partner.
He recognizes that through that love, and the "nature" of things....they will always be together (just like they always have been).
I think it may be a live version (a Detroit radio station appearance) where Michael Nau sings "Who will have the both of us?" as the last line....but Im not sure about the studio version right now.
This song is a "Perfect 10".....give it a listen or two.
"Goes down like a shout and up like a PRAYER"
"In the Ocean's evening GUSTS"
