Yep, Sting is probably one of the targets from all those 'acid' comments, but I think Bono Vox is the first man that Neil intended to criticise here, including PSB knew this one hardly would be a hit single by its own merits, so they decided to release it together with a cover from... U2 (A-ha!), which is Where The Streets Have No Name. And Bono made the following comment about this: "What have I done to deserve this?". I really enjoy its lyrics a lot, since it clearly reveals all the ego from some rock'n'roll stars when they decided to save the world...
