The song is about the hardcore Scene and how cliche it can be.And how arrogant and narrowminded some scene kids are.

He also makes a reference to how egotistic they can be and how they think hardcore music is the best music around.
"Kid, you may be playing your music loud, but it's drowned out by your mouth."
Or how some of them are posers....
"You're living in Manhattan.Where are you really from?Have you forgotten?"
Or how some of them think they have the worst life in the world because they hate their parents.
"So stop dragging your feet behind.You can't live with the folks all your life."
"Joking that we'd end our lives, but we weren't joking all the time."
