anyhoo... to me this song seems to be him realising that the girl impossible to understand and 'obtain'. "you're moony face, so inaccesible". but he's hooked on her so he's trying to forget her by sleeping with other girls that are better for him.
the bells are joyful and triumphant cause he's going back to the girl he loves. he "snost and lost", but he'll slug it out. even though he's sick of waiting.
