i know this is going to be seen as a strange interpretation but i think the girl he's singing to he got pregnant. he's talks about a light surrounding her like the 'glow' they talk about and don't be afraid something new is well a baby is a new scary experience. and he'll telling her he's there and don't be afraid cause i'm here and it's scary but you'll make it through.
