The fade from the intro with Copeland speaking over amateurish tinkling on the piano to the sung portion with Sting gradually increasing his volume with full instrumental backup (and the operatic note inbetween) is a wonderful portion of the song, as IvoKent says. Forget about the lyrics for a moment: this is Sting upstaging his bandmate, and knowing that there would be tensions along these lines that eventually would destroy the band, the beginning of this song seems like it might have been an example of the kind of thing Copeland wasn't very happy about. It's exciting listening to it from the perspective of the lyrics, though, as well as from the perspective of the Sting-Copeland[-Summers] relationship.
