Cover art for Ghost Town lyrics by Huns & Dr. Beeker

It's a damn sad song and for me it's hard to interpret it without consideration of its original context, the Chernobyl tragedy. In fact the lyrics describe the first days after the meltdown - people knowing nothing about the accident, fire brigades that've been sent to extinguish the fire getting fried by gamma rays, the deadly light seen from the the air and the effects of the meltdown - deserted wasteland where towns and villages once were. The first time I've heard this song was in the short movie from abandoned Pripryat, the city near Chernie nuclear power plant. And these two movies (in fact the whole Elena Filatovna's website about that tragedy) along with that track threw me into one of these sad and melancholic moods.
