Set the Sails, Red Beret - This song is a personal song to me... I used to be a alcohalic... and its about my struggle with Alcohal... im 4 months sober!!! yayayayayayay!! so thats good news... Some of my docters said that could of been why i have been sick for awhile... for those that dont know... i have been sick for about 5 months... but im slowly getting better... "Did they set those sails for show, no they didnt!" kinda like saying i never would hit shore to stop the problem... if you read the lyrics you can relate to the drinking terms.. I was also asked to leave Farewell to Fashion because my drinking got so bad but i had already made my mind up about leaving anyways.. and the end of the song.. is kinda explaining that... "we had plans to get out west, with the future at our best" that was talking about a tour Farewell to Fashion had with My hotel year that i couldnt do because i left.. "so lets make the plans tonight, lets make everything alright, and part are ways to figure what we become" just kinda saying LATER IM OUT!
Im kinda glad i left Farewell.... becuase rookie would not be where it is today... everything is done for a reason. Also big thanks to Thin Dark Line that came in and did the group vocals on this song!! there great people!
