The Blue Roses - This song is probably my favorite song on the cd... Our next cd will have more slower songs like this on it.. While i was living in Cleveland, TN i went thru alot of hard times.. There was this girl in Fl that ment alot to me named Summer... and i was still dating my highschool sweetheart... well this highschool sweetheart girl... was treating me bad.. she had a new group of friends... and when i was out touring there was this guy she was starting to hangout alot with... and everybody in my town called him disease paul... haha.. yeah it sucked.. anyways... knowing that thats going on.. i really wanted to just end things... but 4 years of dating... i hate change... im afraid of it... seriously... I was young a dumb.. never just dropping her.. and going with Summer.. till it was to late... i could of showed Summer alot more care if I just ended it with Jeneane (highschool sweetheart for you slow learners out there).. So anyways... i did end of dropping Jeneane and dating Summer for abit.. but ended up moving back home to NC and like all good things.. well most.. they come to a end.. and i wrote this song for Summer..
"august ill still be singing" my birthday is in august... so that means every year....
Alot of people think as Summer the month and thats cool!! i wrote it so you can have your own thoughts and feelings for this song! But listen to the song after reading what i said.. and a pretty cool story comes out of it. (oh and yes i date a girl now named Whitney the Great and shes the best, hehe shell prob read this)
