this song was recently featured on one of those "i love the..." shows on vh1...(can't remember which year it was), and i found it really funny that the commentators were saying how this is an insulting song. "you are so beautifull.....well, to me at least"
LOL, i didn't agree with this interpretation, but i still thought it was really funny.
I actually think the "..to me" part emphasizes that the speaker doesn't care anything about what other people would think, not necessarily meaning that they'd think she is ugly, but regardless of what other people may or may not think, he doesn't care: she's beautiful to him!
