Actually I have seen the bright lily grow and I can’t say that it’s been the easiest thing to watch. Doesn’t life get any better for her?
Perhaps not but it seems like things might be better if there was a decrease in the number of mixed messages that seem to surface. I mean if no news is good news but news that might be misunderstood is plentiful, why not keep the news that she wouldn’t get to yourself? Why paint pictures of what isn’t going to happen? Makes it seem like a creepy little taunt rather than something constructive. You know? Oh, this will happen and that will happen and maybe—by some far stretch of the imagination—something similar will happen but by the time it does, you’d have to pretty well see that it’s been stripped down of all its glamour and allure with just the hard work remaining ….
It’s one way to get hard work done.
Too bad there’s not a better way than this to handle it. We’ve got icky things to do but no one will do them so let’s lie to Lily … she won’t care.
