I think the narrator is wishing there was a "perfect world" in which his memory would be deleted (make him forget his painful past) and this girl (or "goddess", as she is refered to)(whom cheated on him and he only found out afterwards) would have never existed therefor all the things she did to hurt him will be forgotten..
i think it's about time someone wrote a song about a general dream... To live in a perfect world....how many times have each of us thought.."if only the world were perfect?' or something like that? this song expresses a universal longing for something "perfect", watever ir may be, for the individual
