Normally overly repetitive lyrics can grate, leave you with the feeling of, "please, something else already!" but this is just lovely.
The lengthy piano intro is just beautiful. Very reflective without being melodramatic or whining. Soft, introspective. The words of the narrator are desperate, pleading, but never without dignity. A cry for help; calling for guidance. Not willing to be on his own anymore, he finally reaches through the clouds, this dark of night, upwards to the sun in search of solace and healing. His fight is over. Now he wants to rest.
