i agree with bryan on this one i think this whole song is a metaphor i think in general this song is talking about a relationship that went downhill.

soaring through the air"- i think these two lines are metaphore for a them getting into a fight for w.e reason.

so calm, but you're not scared"- shes either screaming and yelling at him or crying either way she seems to understand the situation and is willing to move on from w.e path they choose.
"the song on the radio is perfect"- meaning the time for the fighting is perfect because things are just at that point
