Well this isn’t exactly meaning but Vienna played at my college and she explained some of her reasoning behind her songs. She said that she actually wrote this song because she had never written anything in waltz time before so she set out to write something in waltz time and this was the result. I also vaguely remember her saying something about it being about a friend of hers who was going through some relationship troubles at the time.
