@tiff_rox I mean yeah I guess that’d make sense too but for me it’s definitely about a breakup. Just because someone leaves you doesn’t mean they’re gone but still in a sense you’re left feeling alone. A painful mistake is what caused the breakup but the sign that they’re with you being they still want to keep you around as friends or whatever but either way you’re torn between hope and being dragged back into the reality that they’re never coming back

is this not about someone who maybe caused a car crash in which someone really important to them died?
Just a sign that you're with me
if its a break up, the person wont be with them
and the 'painful mistake' is the way that the person has caused the person who they care so much about, to die.
