I feel like it's not about a camping trip. Right now I listen to it because I think of the importance of spontaneity in a relationship, to be able to "waste the summer" packing up on a whim to somewhere where you can simply "feel the grass beneath your feet". I think it's cute. The sleeping bag and tent seem like symbols when they sing it, not physical objects.
