now maybe i'm just jaded by my own personal situation but to me this song is about a girl who was with a guy. things were great and they had it all but for whatever reason they're no longer together. she's trying to get over it but he knows exactly what to say and/or do to make her weak. but she finally realizes it's not worth it anymore. he's not worth it. so she's singing about how yeah people hate her, yeah she's been jealous of others. who cares because no one else matters, she's got to be strong on her own, without him, and move on.
i'm probably completely wrong on this. but that's what i always think of when listening to this song.
