I took this song to be about Chris's sympathy for animals, he is a vegetarian and supports PETA, I think it's kind of sarcastic towards how most people treat animals, disposable and collapsable like they are less than us, only a food source without feelings. But then when he sings animal "I" am its like hes saying were all animals, humans and animals, were more alike than we think we are. I just think it has to do with animal rights and people's mistreatment of these creatures.
