I know, it's freaking awsome,but, as far as i can understand from this song is that Kezia is recalling a point in time where she was being talked to by her mother, and what she meant when she said, "the warmest of blankets is six feet in soil" probably means that death ( which also means six feet under ) is the only source of comfort. That's all i have thought up so far... so... please do not scrutinize me if i am wrong, i'm just interpreting the song according to my beliefs. PBS!
