To me it sounds like they're (RJA) singing about their journey to being famous, or relatively famous, whatever. They're talking about being up on stage and connecting with the crowd. Thanking everyone for all their help along the way, saying they hope they could take everyone on the journey, but can't. Then eventually saying how they're "reaching out" and telling us about the journey.
