I see this as a sort of one-night thing BUT not a one-night-stand because these two actually care about each other, so it wouldn't be as 'shallow' as that. However, she is in a relationship ("but tomorrow go back to your man"), so it can't go any further than that one night. I feel it's about two friends, who might be better together, but don't get together for some reason...she just stays with 'her man,' and the whole romance that could be born out of that one night is simply overlooked because they HAVE to "go back to being friends." It's a sad song, actually...but the rythm makes it so upbeat that even with those lyrics, it just cheers me up!
