I think this song is so realistic. That whole part about being in 8th grade is so true, when everyone's too nervous to tell someone how they feel so they get their friends to do it. And when it's time to break up, yet again, they get the friends to do it. Then years later the guy realizes he still likes her, and the only reason he broke up with her in the first place was because he was so young and naive. Most people that young aren't comfortable in relationships.
