"Going back, to all those wasted years" that mortiis spent in era 1 building his kingdom, making songs, writing his book etc.
"I see the rise and fall, of the world I lived in" the world that he created through his music and sort of lost faith in after era 1
"But I took the fall, and on came all the changes" in an interview on the soul in a hole dvd mortiis is talking about era 1 and says something like "I fell from that", meaning he lost his faith in the kingdom he built and of course era 2 which came next was a big change.
"I see the rise and fall, of the world that I made" his kingdom.
I'm not sure what the references to people are about.. perhaps mortiis had villagers in his kingdom or something lol, or maybe a person he loved was part of the reason he lost faith in the era 1 kingdom thing. I don't know.
Personally though this song to me is about losing a loved one and is very emotional.
I think this song is about era 1 too ..
